Issue with DDR5 leading to BSOD Error 0x0000001e
I recently assembled this system about two months back and have four 16GB DDR5 5200MHz C40 sticks. The blue screens appeared only a week or so ago, and I’m unsure how to proceed. XMP (DOCP) is turned off because it doesn’t support post-start mode. The errors I encounter include KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, BAD_POOL_CALLER, and UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP. I’ve installed DDU, removed all NVIDIA drivers in safe mode, reinstalled the latest GPU driver for my card (Gigabyte GTX 1050), but the BSODs persist. My RAM settings are: BCLK at 100 MHz, Core voltage 1.341V, DRAM frequency 3600MHz (half speed), MC voltage 1.128V, capacity 65,536MB. Specifications: Mobo Asus Rog Strix X670E-A, CPU Ryzen 9 7900X, RAM 4x16 Vengeance DDR5 5200MHz C40. I’ve found that BIOS version V.0805 is stable for DDR5, but I’m currently running at 3600MHz and still face random BSODs. I can’t even turn on DOCP. Others seem fine with this BIOS—should I downgrade to 0705 or adjust my RAM speed? Edited April 2, 2023 by Gloww more details
Because no one else has your specific components and draw of the silicon lottery. Computers barely work That is wild. What are your temps like? Anything especially high? Did you buy it new and have used it since then? There is a non-zero chance that it might be dead, if those BSOD codes are GPU related that is Edited April 2, 2023 by Bismut GPU
