Issue with DDR4 RAM at 2133MT/s on an older HP desktop machine
Hi there, I found an old HP EliteDesk 800 G2 SFF desktop with 2x4GB DDR4 RAM at 2400MT/s. After a Windows update, the firmware changed and now the speed is limited to 2133MT/s. (It might be quite outdated, especially since the machine was stored for a long time.) The current version is 02.58. I don’t see any way to set XMP or adjust the RAM speed in the UEFI, though I’m not entirely sure if that’s the cause of the problem. My guess is the firmware change affected it. I’m not sure if changing the RAM speed will help, but I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

What processor do you have? It appears to be officially compatible with DDR4 2133.
This situation is highly likely. Even the i7 6700 is officially compatible with DDR4-2133
It only accommodates 2133, which means it never reached 2400.
