Issue with data transmission in Battlefield 4
I've observed the packet loss indicator lingering for over 20 seconds while playing BF4. I've adjusted the game's high-frequency network settings and forwarded all pertinent ports, but setting up exceptions in the Windows firewall hasn't improved the issue. Since I'm using wireless and can't connect via Ethernet, my router might be the culprit (it's a Thompson TG782T with 802.11g). I've heard that some aftermarket routers from Telstra can cause connection drops or complete loss of internet access. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers.
Not always slower, yet every weapon I employ appears to fire frozen peas toward my goal.
Might be your wireless, I know that's a huge issue with my Shaw router here in Canada. On my laptop the game isn't playable via wifi because of the packet loss - connected through ethernet the same problem does not exist. I know you said that you can't connect through wire, but if there's any way possible to rig it up for a quick test I'd do that. That would tell you right there if it's a wireless problem or not.
