Issue with CPU to PSU cable on first build?
Issue with CPU to PSU cable on first build?
This is my first time setting up, everything seemed fine until I reached the CPU/PSU area. The cord labeled CPU doesn’t fit any slots on the PSU, so I can’t connect it. I’m not sure what to do next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry if this wasn’t the right place to ask—wasn’t clear on the technical details.

Edit: After plugging it in, it works perfectly now. The cord and socket didn’t match exactly, but there are no issues yet. Operating system temperatures are normal.
Not really. In the video he just connects the cpu labeled side into the mobo, but mine doesn't match theirs. The side that is labeled cpu connects to the mobo and the other end to the psu? The one with the cpu label fits in its place, but the other side doesn't fit anywhere in the psu.
Did the original cables included with the brand new PSU match your requirements? The 2x4 pin side connects to MB x8 pin, and the other side should link to a PCIe/CPU 8 pin connector.
All the new information presented is completely different from what was given earlier.
This should work, but you might want to verify the MB side. With the PSU on and running, check the voltages on the connector's MB side—one row of 8-pin should show +12V and another row should be negative or ground.
Yup everything looks fine! The OS is running updates and other tasks. I haven't played yet, but the idle temps are normal.
