Issue with CPU speed.
I possess a Ryzen 7 3800X with a boost clock range of 4.4-4.5 GHz, yet it fails to exceed 4.1GHz under any conditions. Even when manually adjusting via Ryzen Master, performance remains capped around 3.9GHz to 4.2GHz depending on the workload. Interestingly, my cooler can sustain 100% of 4.4GHz at 75°C. The real question is how to push it further.
The advertised boost clock refers to the single-core performance boost during heavy single-threaded tasks (such as Cinebench single core). This feature is only available at stock settings. Running an all-core overclock will likely bring all cores up to 4.2, but boost remains turned off and won't exceed that limit.
Checking performance via Ryzen master shows no single core reaching its potential. Pushing it to 4.4GHz boosts all cores equally under heavy load, but doesn’t improve gaming results. Overclocking offers minimal benefit in games.
