Check your Ryzen 2700X with a bottleneck calculator—it suggests a 12% CPU limit. Upgrading to a 5800X3D would likely reduce the bottleneck to around 0.1%, improving performance noticeably. Switching to AM5, an M.2 slot CPU, AM5 socket, and DDR5 RAM could further boost efficiency, especially with better power delivery and bandwidth. Consider these changes for optimal results.

It comes down to the settings, your older Ryzen 2700 couldn't handle the RX 6900 XT at 4K with 120Hz.

Details from the earlier update I made from 2700 to 5600 were shared, but my board didn’t handle ReBar well, causing about a 10% drop in performance. After six months, I upgraded to a Ryzen 7700 with a B650M PCIe and 32GB CL30 6000MHz RAM. The kit cost around 420 euros.

Resolution details are noted, but the focus is on finding a suitable ReBar for your setup. Your current GPU supports 1440p, and you're looking to upgrade for smoother performance, especially with ray tracing in Cyberpunk. Consider checking compatible ReBars that match your PCIe slot and power requirements.

With $200 you can upgrade to a 57003D. For $500 consider a new setup including CPU, MBOOM, and RAM. The 5700X3D works well with a 9070XT; it typically sits between the 7900XT and 7900XTX ranges and isn’t usually limited (unless using an AM4 X3D CPU on 1440p or above).

The 2700x runs about 25% slower than the 5700x, placing you above the 12100f threshold. Purchasing a GPU for $650 would mean sacrificing performance if you want over 100fps. Consider upgrading to a 5700x3d or 5800x3d based on availability. If near an MC, a combo setup works better since non-3D CPUs aren't popular. It's still quicker than a 5800x3d model.
