Hi there, I have a query I’d like some advice on. As many of you know, I still play Payday 2 and the Diesel Game Engine hasn’t been very smooth from the start—though that’s a different story altogether. I can achieve high FPS, around 144 at full settings, but I notice some hiccups during certain heists. I’ve learned to fix it by opening Game Alt + Tab, using Task Manager, manually setting CPU affinity for cores 0-5 on my Ryzen 5 3600, and then the problem goes away.

My question is: Can this be set up automatically when launching the game through Steam? I came across a SuperUser thread that explains similar steps, but Payday’s behavior is different—it sometimes won’t launch via a shortcut even if it’s changed. It even insists it should come through Steam. While it’s not too complicated, having this done automatically would be great. Thanks for reading, and I hope someone can help with this!
