Issue with connecting to Minecraft
Issue with connecting to Minecraft
So, i have been playing minecraft with a friend for a couple of days now. Our connection was always wobbly and we occasionally lost connection, we always retried and it worked just fine. Just a couple of hours ago i got disconnected and when i tried to reenter i was able to move around but not able to access anything like chests and crafting tables. Someone pls help me solve this problem. Details: -I am using hamachi -I have disabled the windows firewall for home and work networks -i went to advanced firewall setting and changes the in bound and out bound rules to allow hamachi through -server is hosted by my friend whose internet is significantly weaker than mine, because he's the one who knows how to create servers -i know there are many solutions to this problem and a lot of ppl who have it but i tried everything that was not disproven by other forum members -i tried pinging myself and my friend with hamachi , it timed out Pls help me, thank you
It’s always achievable. Provided the router functions adequately, lacks a user interface, or doesn’t require a password.
This situation isn't resolved by port forwarding. Just a reminder: I'm Jade. I've managed the Bukkit Forums before and dealt with various network configurations and problems.
I recall you mentioning that earlier. Latency typically stems from network problems or internal system issues. If he can't upgrade his computer or internet service, addressing the free services might help pinpoint the problem. Hamachi tends to consume many CPU cycles and leads to packet loss. LogMeIn is generally not recommended as a first choice. (Mobile text errors are an exception.)
Stop the server and restart it. Does that resolve anything? Is this vanilla, Bukkit, or modded? How much memory is being used? Ask your friend to restart his router. What are your friend’s computer details? What’s his internet speed like? https://speedtest.net Can he possibly forward ports? Is he using unusual permissions plugins that aren’t set correctly? And @Jade, sorry for the rude tone earlier—I just finished fixing my PS3 WiFi card and wasn’t in the mood. It was really frustrating. A shower helped. I should have asked these questions sooner.
