Additional issues with the build: Phenom II X4 955 Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 Windows 7 Home Premium 1TB WD Caviar Green (SSD is top priority). I’ve completed the updates, installed Bitdefender, and now I want to configure Remote Access. However, it isn’t working. The computer name is "Phenom," but the only profile listed is "MC Server." It can’t locate it. This problem occurs both ways—my tower can’t connect to the Phenom tower. The error messages are: 1. I have checked that it is. 2. It’s not—audio and visual confirm it. 3. Each tower can see the other in File Explorer’s Network section.

Check if the hostname resolves correctly from another machine. Test RDP via its IP address. Attempt with firewall off. If successful without it, open TCP 3389 on the firewall. Note: W7 Home Premium can't act as an RDP server. Confirm remote access is active.

Which folder? Would you like me to share a screenshot? It seems W7 Home Premium doesn’t allow the built-in RDP server.

Connect via VNC without restrictions. Ensure your setup bypasses any security software or firewalls.

That's remote assistance, not remote desktop. As I've said, remote desktop isn't supported by W7 Home Premium.

The issue might be related to the version you were using, even though it worked previously.

Windows 7 Pro is compatible, while Home Premium isn't. You have alternative choices available. I previously relied on an RDP Wrapper for my non-Pro systems, which functioned well. This is how it appears on Pro:

I'm having trouble with Pro on that system. It seems my credentials aren't working. I'm unsure whether the "User name" field refers to the computer's name or my own username. Also, I need to figure out what to enter in Windows Security when prompted.
