Hello, I've been using this system for a few years (installed in November 2019) and haven't noticed any problems before. I'm trying to figure out if the issue might be with my PSU or something else. My setup includes an AMD Radeon RX 5700 GPU, a Ryzen 3700x 8-core CPU, a Bronze-rated 80+ EVGA 650 bq PSU, and a MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge Wifi motherboard. Over the past summer, I've experienced random shutdowns—sometimes once or twice a month—I had to restart the computer. I thought it was nothing, but after moving recently, the problem has worsened. I've also been trying to update a game on Epic Games, and due to poor internet speeds (around 2mb/s), the download has taken several hours. Around 30-45 minutes into the update, my PC would shut down unexpectedly. I've checked CPU and GPU temperatures with AMD software, and neither shows spikes or power changes right before the restart, so overheating isn't the main concern. I believe the PSU might be the issue, but I'm not sure how to fix it. My power supply is old, and I haven't upgraded any components since the build in 2019, so it's unlikely the wattage is the problem. I was careful during transport, so it probably isn't related to that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would have expected temperatures, but I'm assuming they're not an issue (generally, details matter more than general statements since many people are unsure about safe ranges). It wouldn't seem like a power supply unit problem at first, but because this was a low-quality PSU—especially for these specifications—I'd definitely replace it with something better.

Sorry about that, for me low stress temperatures are usually between 50-55 C for the GPU and 45-50 C for my CPU. When under heavy loads my CPU typically reaches around 65-75 C (during updates my CPU stayed at 65 C while the GPU remained at its usual 55 C). I understand these numbers are on the higher side, but my computer has always run this hot. I haven't seen temperatures above 80 before on my CPU, though I don't often check, so it could get even higher during intense gaming or stress.
