The G7 has shit cooling so clean it, repaste it and undervolt. At best you'll get less throttling.

This happened because you switched tabs away from the game. The problem is completely due to overheating.

I applied the repaste with Corsair TM30 paste earlier, but didn’t notice any major changes in thermals.
