Hello everyone
I own an HP Omen laptop equipped with a 7th generation Intel Core i7 processor. The problem occurs when I leave the laptop plugged in after it reaches full charge, staying connected for around 20 minutes or longer. At that point, the charging stops—the indicator turns off—and the device won’t power on.
I’ve removed the battery and tried using the charger again, but the issue continues. To resolve this, I unplug it for a short time, then plug it back in and wait 20 minutes or more before checking if it starts charging (the indicator lights up).
What might be causing this? How can I figure out the solution and fix it?

Hey there. The battery is roughly five years old. It's the original one that came with the laptop and hasn't been replaced. But its overall performance while using the laptop is decent—it usually lasts around three hours.

Does it completely recharge? If you take out the battery and use only AC power, are there any problems?
