Issue with Brother DCP-L3550CDW toner
Hi,
My Brother DCP-L3550CDW is turning into a real nuisance. After replacing the new toner and waiting a few weeks, it still insists on opening the top cover and installing a toner cartridge. Even though it claims compatibility with other toners, I’m stuck because Brother hasn’t helped much. I’ve already spent 180 pounds on original toners, but they keep saying it works with compatible ones. Any advice? Or should I consider disposing of it?
I've experienced these problems before over the years.
Often, I had to clean the cartridge thoroughly, including the printer interface, because of clogged ink or debris.
Occasionally, using standard toner cartridges was enough—they wouldn't connect or work properly.
