You need assistance urgently. After two months of effort, you saved $2300 for a custom-built 3080 PC. You sold your PS5 and Series X to fund it, but now it won’t run Windows properly—it keeps restarting after one minute. I’ve done a clean install, replaced RAM and the graphics card, but haven’t swapped out the Ryzen 9 yet. My system has M.2 slots with dual-channel 8GB RAM and an RX850 power supply, paired with a ZOTAC graphics card and a Ryzen 9 5900X. The issue persists despite all changes. I’m stuck and really need help figuring this out.
Reset the BIOS and clear all overclocking settings. Look for updated BIOS versions if stability improves.
Sorry to inform you, perhaps using a single RAM stick would work better. It should be stable with 8GB, which is quite straightforward to swap out.
I tried one stick of RAM and it worked. Ryzens seem a bit odd about RAM too. I own Crucial Ballistix in both my Ryzens and none of these problems, yet I see many posts pairing Ryzens with other brands like Corsair. Updated June 25, 2022 by An0maly_76 Revised, more info
