You received a laptop with incorrect memory installed—specifically, DDR3 instead of DDR3L. Despite trying to install a DDR3L module, nothing worked. I attempted to use the reset button already and kept it pressed for 15 seconds (as mentioned on another site). I tried resetting the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery and any other power supply for roughly 4 minutes. I observed that when I disconnect any power source and then reconnect it, both the function keys and the keyboard light up. Restarting only activates the keyboard lights, not the function keys. The CPU also becomes slightly warm while displaying a black screen continuously.

Link it to an external display. Note: oops. Just checked... how many beeps did the DDR3 modules make? It seems like a dead board, though 250 is still pretty old. You should be able to find parts for it.

The guide says it's a memory issue. It also mentions that since the screen is soldered in, replacing just the motherboard might not be practical.

screens are typically linked via a cable featuring a connector. that connector may fail, especially at the joint.

The connector seems misaligned and might not function properly. It’s unclear if purchasing replacement parts is a good idea compared to upgrading to a higher-spec used laptop.
