I placed the original GPU back into its original PCI16 slot, and the BIOS displayed the screen for a while longer before shutting down completely. I'm trying to get Linux running. Any advice?

Ram and CPU are working properly. The graphics cards seem to be behaving strangely, so I wouldn’t expect to see the BIOS at all. Maybe I’m not familiar with BIOS settings. Would it disappear on its own?

The BIOS will likely stop functioning soon, and I’m curious if it might vanish completely after a short time. Try starting the system while pressing Delete and F8 and then F12 individually.

Begin securing them prior to powering it up, or once I notice the bios.

Press it rapidly once you notice the BIOS, or you might keep clicking continuously after turning it on.

It appears the device is transitioning to the blank screen more quickly than expected.

Do you have another GPU available that could replace the current one, perhaps a more affordable option?

All i currently have is two old cheap ones. The one i plan to use in my rig wont be here till wednesday. Ive tried both of the ones i had, each one in both of the available slots... If it helps, when it switches to a blank screen theres a little white line in the top left as if its waiting for me to type something.

The disc should be installed on the motherboard as provided. Make sure it’s properly seated and secure before proceeding. If you’re unsure, consult the manual or manufacturer guidelines for specific steps.
