Issue with BIOS display not functioning properly
Issue with BIOS display not functioning properly
Hi there,
I’m facing some problems with my BIOS. After resetting the CROM because of performance issues during gaming, I haven’t changed the boot order much. Now every time I start up, I press F11 to manually boot and get a blank MSI screen instead. I also can’t access the BIOS, and I’ve tried resetting the CMOS but it doesn’t help. Changing GPU outputs hasn’t resolved the issue either. My motherboard is an MSI Z170-A Pro, with an i7 6700K CPU. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

The board lacks any onboard button or feature to flash the BIOS using a pen drive without a GUI interface. It would be advisable to obtain a CH341 BIOS programmer toolkit, update the BIOS with the newest version, reset the CMOS, and then check if the problem persists. A corrupted BIOS won't simply disappear by clearing the CMOS alone, especially without a BIOS reflash. It seems the BIOS may be damaged or the system is rejecting your BIOS/board.
