The lighting and hue provide the main clues. There’s another discussion on the identical motherboard about a comparable problem, likely involving a faulty weak power supply, though it could still offer helpful insights.
It seems like you're considering switching to a different power supply unit, but it might not be the main problem. Thanks for sharing, and I'll check out more details if you provide some info.
I also question this. I considered there could be details in the thread comments from others examining various potential issues that might help identify a solution. My concern is that interpreting those subtle light color signals will be crucial. I’m not sure how to approach it.
It's really annoying that no one, including Asus support, seems aware of those lights... I'm not confident I have the right information or resources to figure it out. Maybe Amazon sent me a new CPU, so I should check that option too to compare. The new RAM will arrive in a few days!
Essentially everything lights up when the system starts, but the DRAM usually activates first—sometimes bright orange, other times solid orange—and sometimes it doesn’t boot at all. It seems like the other components turn on one by one afterward. Thanks for your assistance!
I recently assembled a PC last weekend and have encountered the same problem. Occasionally it boots fine, but sometimes it fails to start randomly throughout the week. This morning it required five or six attempts to get it running properly. I’m using the same motherboard and processor as others. Some Reddit discussions mention a BIOS issue, but I’m not certain if that’s accurate.
