Hello, I've observed my laptop has been running sluggishly for some time now. Initially, I suspected the issue stemmed from my siblings downloading games and subsequently infecting the system. I attempted to run an antivirus scan, but it didn't resolve the problem, so I upgraded the SSD from 256GB to a 1TB drive and updated to Windows 11 from Windows 10. Although it feels a bit smoother, performance remains subpar. For instance, applications like the MS Store or Firefox take longer to launch. It seems the device might be lacking sufficient RAM—sometimes it runs at around 6 or 8 GB even after startup tasks complete. I’m considering downgrading back to Windows 10 to investigate further. If you have any suggestions or insights, I’d appreciate it. You can check the IFixit link for potential troubleshooting steps: https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Asus_VivoBook_14_IFX

AMD APUs restrict certain amounts of RAM for the graphics card, which seems odd on 8 GB non-gaming systems. Yes, upgrading RAM would be beneficial. You can also tweak the BIOS settings to adjust reserved memory, reducing it will aid everyday work but might affect gaming performance slightly.
