I have a brand new X570 motherboard. After a cold start, I don’t see any signal in BIOS or during POST—it only shows the login screen and the white LED on the board (VGA issue). In Windows and games, everything works fine. Just the LED light. When I restart or power it off, everything functions properly. I’ve checked all cables and everything seems okay. My specs are: ASUS Strix Z390E, Intel Core i7 8700K, Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB DDR4, 3200MHz, Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, Cooler Master V1000 1000W PSU. Anyone can help me figure out what’s wrong? It’s really frustrating and confusing :/

No, I don't have access to your hardware configuration. Please check your device's settings or manual for the latest BIOS version.

Because it's brand new doesn't guarantee it comes with the newest BIOS. For instance, I recently purchased a board only 15 days prior to now, while my BIOS was two versions behind.

Asus Z390 boards are quite problematic and significantly overpriced unless you have a valid reason to return them. Consider opting for an Aorus alternative instead. The Z390E’s VRM design is actually inferior compared to the Z270E’s for quad-core processors, and it’s hard to grasp what’s happening with Asus anymore. It’s best to steer clear of their motherboards until they resolve these issues.

Before Z390, I own a Z370E that failed after about six weeks. I returned it and received a replacement part instead.

ASUS has experienced some quality issues recently, shifting from being a top choice for high-quality motherboards to focusing on cheaper options that don’t match their previous standards. It’s understandable to feel confused and frustrated when performance drops while prices rise. If you’re concerned about getting a fair deal, a refund might be a reasonable option.

I'm experiencing the same problem with a 2080 graphics card. It seems to occur after adjusting settings in BIOS. Only a couple of times has this happened, and I suspect I was making similar changes each time. Restarting clears the issue. I might try modifying something simple and reverting it to check if the light remains on to test my theory. It probably requires a full system reboot to apply the change properly. The settings I'm using are 8700K, 2080, z390e, gksill Trident RGB RAM at 3200, and Corsair 650MHz. The GPUs differ but the issue persists, so it might not be a GPU problem. Someone else suggested ignoring it, and other searches recommend updating the BIOS to the latest version.

I recently worked with ASUS and found their support excellent. Have you reached out to them? If they aren’t meeting your needs, it’s likely they won’t clarify the issue properly.
