Hello! I'm having an issue with the Asus ROG B450f gaming ii motherboard my friend gave me. He mentioned it was shorted. The board doesn't power on, the logo won't light up, and the fans aren't working. I don’t have a CPU or RAM, but after some research, I think it’s safe to connect it to power—just for BIOS updates. There’s a 5-volt USB port, but no power to the fans. When I try to turn it on, the PSU fan also doesn’t spin, and the motherboard won’t activate. There’s a component with three pins (I don’t know its name; check the picture). Using a multimeter in resistance mode, I heard a beep when connecting one probe to ground and one to the pin, but it worked on the 24-pin connector. I’m not sure if this is the problem. If someone with a multimeter and the same board could test this, it would really help. Thanks for your help! P.S. Sorry, my English isn’t great.

Hello, I'm facing the same problem with my board. It doesn't power on at all, even the standby RGB stays off when I connect the 24-pin connector and switch to the power supply. It shuts down completely and never boots again. Have you fixed this issue for your model? Or did you just swap it with a different brand's motherboard? Thanks.
