Hello!
I just got my Asus ROG Strix G513 and returned home. The internal sound speaker isn’t working.
According to Asus, only the chassis has been replaced; the internal speakers were fine before I submitted an RMA (only the chassis was swapped).
The drivers are up to date.
Even the Asus startup sound in the BIOS doesn’t play after I enable it again.
I reset the BIOS to its default settings—it’s running the latest version.
All other external sound devices, like headphones, work through the headphone jack.
The internal speaker seems active when I play a YouTube video, even with the mic, but it still doesn’t produce any sound.
Windows doesn’t display any error messages and shows no disabled devices.
Could there be a button on the laptop that silenced the sound? Or did Asus accidentally remove a cable for the internal speaker?
Thank you!

maybe the speakers are just not connected to the motherboard. to replace a chassis, all components would have been removed/disconnected while doing that.
in the video is similar speaker config, on the right there is one connector which has to be plugged into the motherboard, maybe asus missed that

They verified the issue with the internal speaker is faulty, but the official Asus technician mentioned they lack replacement parts. What should I do now? The laptop has been around a month and was mostly used at the service center.

They might need to order a replacement part to repair your laptop, which means waiting. You remain under warranty, so if ASUS can't fix the speaker, they should ask to replace the laptop. However, you may have to wait if a spare part isn't available. If your product was brand new, you could return it within 30 days for a store return. Don't open the laptop unless necessary, as that could void your warranty.

I won! I returned the device to the store, and they provided a replacement. The issue was fixed with spare parts from the official technicians.

At least now you have a completely fresh version. May it work perfectly and bring you enjoyment.

One month old. At this stage, I’d prefer a replacement rather than a repair. Please ensure all data is erased from it once they confirm and agree for a replacement, and have it completed promptly. It would have been better if the first attempt had been different—especially with a laptop under one month old.
