Good afternoon, I'm trying to change to legacy mode or get a CSM Option in my BIOS. It seems that disabling TPM, NO. Password, NO. VMD? NO. And more... There is no Legacy ROM Option either, only a legacy network rom thing. I tried asking in Acer Forums but they just said the same thing. Go to BIOS and enable CSM. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Secure Boot might be active, limiting boot choices to UEFI only.

Alternative choices such as detailed visuals and similar features are disabled. Uncertain if there are keyboard shortcuts for access settings or options like legacy boot and CSM.

Tried updating the BIOS? Small chance it could be a corrupted BIOS image.

Reviewed the support page; they mention only the EXE option "Can't update from OS" because it was installed without an operating system.

The question asks about the purpose of needing legacy boot functionality.

I'm attempting to set up the operating system, though it seems a bit awkward. Did Intel announce they'd stop supporting legacy boot by 2020? I can't test my motherboard because Acer chose not to add it.

Missed mentioning that it's an Acer, thought it was labeled as ASUS.

What OS are you using? If your system is very old—pre-Vista era—it might not handle UEFI or Guid partition tables. You’d be much better off running an emulator.
