My AORUS AX370 Gaming 5 ran BIOS version F42b, which I upgraded to the latest F51f within less than two months. I pushed it up to 3.7GHz, matching what other users reported.

After a full day of testing, the updated BIOS didn’t stabilize, and I kept encountering BSODs while overclocking or not. I tried reverting back to older BIOS versions (F51f through F51d, then T51d), but each one produced the same problem—BSODs after about 10 minutes in games like GTAV or even sooner in others.

Eventually, I switched to a cooler from Cooler Master, added extra fans, and upgraded my case. My system now runs at around 3.8GHz/1.3V, which is much cooler than before. Still, BSODs occur, especially during demanding tasks like GTAV or Yakuza 6. Over time, the temperatures have dropped to about 53°C during heavy workloads.

After roughly two weeks of consistent use, I’ve settled on a more robust setup. The CPU stays stable, and even stressing it for an hour in GTAV didn’t trigger any crashes. I also tested Yakuza 6 without issues. With the fan curve, the CPU temperature now averages around 60°C during intense sessions.

I should mention that the error messages Windows displayed varied each time, making it hard to pinpoint a single problem. The system services and memory management logs showed multiple exceptions, but no consistent pattern.

As long as you're comfortable showing off your system specs, you should definitely give others a try sometimes—some just do things differently, lol. Noticing the error might prompt you to run Windows Memory Diagnostic. It could also point to problems with your CPU and RAM configuration. Just sharing some ideas here. I'm sure some Ryzen overclockers will come up with a solution.

I've used the same Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4 at 3200 MHz for more than two years with XMP enabled on my motherboard. It hasn't caused any problems compared to my older 780Ti and Ryzen 1700 setups. When I combined the board and CPU in early 2020, the RAM was replaced new.

I've used the same Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4 at 3200 MHz for more than two years with XMP enabled on my motherboard. It hasn't caused any problems compared to my older 780Ti and Ryzen 1700 setups. When I combined the board and CPU in early 2020, the RAM was replaced new.

This seems like a recurring issue, likely caused by the CPU. If it's a CPU, you'll face unrecoverable hardware faults similar to 0x124 in W10 (using W7). Early Ryzen models lack proper IMC handling, making high-speed operation difficult unless paired with a very low-power chip like a Micron Rev E. Consider increasing the voltage on the SOC or checking the IMC settings in the burner. Keep the CPU unchanged while testing these adjustments.

It seems Ram isn't the problem, as it's been running at 3200 for a while. Checking the AX370 Gaming 5 QVL list, my CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 sticks aren't showing up. I'll try lowering the speed to see if that resolves the issues.
