Hey everyone! I encountered some issues with my Avast installation. After downloading Avast Free 2015.10.3.2225, the setup completed fine, but when I click Start now or Resolve all, nothing happens. I also tried using Bitdefender Kaspersky to check the problem, but it’s the same—service won’t start. I ran a surface scan and got a message about corrupt files, but it couldn’t fix anything. The logs are saved as sfcdetails.txt.

Save the malwarebytes installer for later.
Remove every antivirus program you have installed.
Use the downloaded installer to set up malwarebytes.
If this doesn’t succeed, update Windows and apply all updates, then restart and retry...

Windows Defender, Malwarebytes and common sense are sufficient; remove Avast.
