Issue with AM4 installation during setup Build fails unexpectedly after initialization
I'm facing difficulties installing Windows 10 on this setup. The machine freezes during the setup process, making it hard to monitor temperatures. It seems temperature might be the main issue—since it was running at 60°C in UEFI and dropped to 45°C after adjustments, but still feels hot. There could also be problems with the TPM settings or NVME keys. My hardware specs include an Asus B550 Prime with AMD 5800 G-SPI, Intel A770, and NVMe SSD. I’ve used this CPU and RAM combination before on another board, and the A770 worked well there. The cooler replacement from Alienware didn’t cause any issues. If it’s not a thermal problem, it might be related to the motherboard or BIOS configuration. Do you know if there’s a live OS available for RAM testing to check temperatures? It would be helpful to try that before proceeding further.
I didn't need to use those, but I managed to install it finally. Updated UEFI, ran the OC tool (adjusted voltage), set fans to maximum and powered Ethernet directly. All this along with a setting I probably messed up during the UEFI reset—I'm now on the desktop. Thanks for the help. *I also enabled 4G decoding, resizable bar, and moved the NVMe to the closer CPU slot. The AMD Ryzen reports around 45-50°C under light load.*
