Issue with Alienware x51 r3 DDR4 RAM not fitting
I recently purchased an Alienware x51 R3 sff desktop and need to begin by installing some RAM. Since none was originally installed, I plan to search the tag on DELL's website. It does confirm it is DDR4 RAM, but the two DIMMs I tried seem to struggle, almost as if they are slipping into the slot and won't fully lower on both sides. I can barely push one side in, but it doesn’t go all the way down. The small notch at the bottom is lined up at the bottom. Through research, I’ve learned it might need a lot of force to push it down, but when I feel plastic creaking under pressure, I stop. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I discovered via research that pushing down might demand considerable effort.

It looks like it is motherboard
26CD3 Z170. Definitely calls for DDR4 RAM so not sure what is happening here.
Verify that the RAM and motherboard modules are compatible. That means the notch of the RAM must perfectly line up with the memory slot on the host. Check the alignment carefully—use a magnifying glass if needed. Also, keep in mind that the RAM might be fake or not functioning properly.
