I've enabled both TCP and UDP connections for inbound and outbound traffic on your PC firewall at port 25565. The server.properties file is attached. When launching the server software, I'm unable to reach my server using my external IP address. Localhost connection succeeds, indicating a possible problem with port forwarding or firewall settings. Using yougetsignal.com shows port 25565 is closed regardless of whether the server is active or not. The port forwarding configuration section contains my internal PC IP, which I've entered correctly. My router is a NETGEAR Nighthawk R7960P. I've attempted both the standard server client and paper versions, but haven't found a method to adjust firewall rules on the router. Parental controls are off, no blocked sites or services are present, and all devices are permitted access under access control. The listener query reveals that entering my external IP in server.properties fails to bind, prompting a check for another running server on that port. No other server is active, and I've tried using a different port.

Have you attempted a router reset? Are there any other devices connected before the R7960P? Yes, similar to the Windows Firewall setup.

Also attempted placing my PC in the DMZ, but it failed. No, only I'm utilizing this port.

Is the IP address displayed on your router identical to the one you find when searching online for your public IP?

Look for your WAN IP address in your device settings or network information. Since you mentioned it’s dynamic, check the router’s admin panel or any connected device logs. If it matches your external IP, you can confirm using a search engine. No need for proxies or VPNs in this case.

Which router model are you using? The external IP displayed in Google also appears on your router if they match.
