I'm experiencing a problem with my 7700k at 4.8ghz and 1.24vcore. When I try to overclock the CPU, the system won't restart on its own and requires a forced shutdown by holding a button. Restarting seems impossible. I can turn off the overclock on the CPU, but the other issue is resolved completely. It's really confusing. Before anyone asks, I have a 1080ti as my mainboard, 1080ti 32gb RAM at 2400mhz, and a 650w EVGA Supernova G2. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ignore the recent post you made. Start by checking the power management settings in Windows and revert everything to the default state. If this fails, it might relate to the BIOS power configuration. Review the power management section in the BIOS settings.

You're not providing enough power to the CPU for the overclock. It will start up, but once stressed... What's your motherboard and which cooler are you using?

the cpu performs well at 1.24v with 4.8ghz under various stress tests and gameplay. Prime95 aida64 and rog stress test were used. the cooler is an h100i and the board is an asrock k4 gaming z270

the pc operates perfectly for all tasks but fails to restart on its own, requiring manual shutdown. it stops after a restart attempt and doesn't boot unless manually powered off.

Don't worry about what I just shared. Start by checking the power management in Windows and revert everything to the default settings. If that fails, it might be related to the BIOS power configurations. Look in the power management section within the BIOS setup.
I'll find something when I'm off work, especially during that tough night shift.
🙁
