Issue with 5.1 GHz turbo boost failing on Windows system.
Hey everyone, struggling to get the turbo boost working inside Windows. In BIOS the CPU reports up to 4GHz, but the OS is stuck at 3.5GHz. I've checked power plans and updated the chipset drivers for my Gigabyte GA-H270-HD3 motherboard, but it still doesn't work. Any tips would be really helpful!
Is this signal occurring during a stress test or just in idle mode? I'm referring to tests like Cinebench R23 or R20.
During the stress test it maintains 3.5ghz. Temperatures stay below 60°C (water cooled)
@me217 Start ThrottleStop and share relevant screenshots, including the FIVR and TPL interfaces. ThrottleStop version 9.6 link: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/tec...ottlestop/. Capture the main ThrottleStop interface during a TS Bench - 1 Thread test. If any GPU software is running, disable it. The frequent issue involves Turbo Power limits being mistakenly set to zero, which disables Intel Turbo Boost. Some ThrottleStop images should reveal the root cause. In the TPL window, verify the Speed Shift box and adjust Speed Shift Max to 41. Older systems may encounter difficulties if Speed Shift isn't enabled by the BIOS.
