I purchased a Corsair Vengeance RAM 8x2 but only a single module is recognized. My motherboard is an MSI H110M PRO VH PLUS and the processor is an Intel Core i3 7100.

If you start with just one device installed, only that one will function while the other remains damaged.

Try repositioning the sticks first. If that fails, exchange the positions of the sticks. Proceed by inserting one stick at a time and testing different slots. If slot 1 works alone without the second, it indicates a dead RAM slot. Check if either stick functions in slot 1 but not in slot 2; that means the RAM is dead. If one stick works in both slots and the other in none, you have a faulty RAM stick.
