but the armoury crate and all the components that power the pc also work on my second desktop. there’s no indication of slowdown during startup over the past two years. this machine is relatively new, here are the specs of my old system: cpu: ryzen 7 5700x ram: 64gb DDR4 @ 3600mt/s gskill trident z gpu: rog strix rtx 3060 (x16) & zotac 2060 (x4) which handles physx and tasks i don’t want to use the main gpu for. memory: rog b550-f (bios 3607) storage: 980pro 1tb (boot), xpg spectrix 512gb cooler: coolermaster ml360 illusion psu: rog thor 850w case: coolermaster td500 v1 displays: odessey (g4) peripherals: logitech g213, logitech g402 plus a few lenovo mice with a fingerprint reader for windows login edit: i transferred my old pc drive into my new setup and noticed absolutely no lag so i attempted installing windows on my 4tb 990 pro but saw the same issue there. so it seems both my 990 pros might be problematic. i’ve used the 2tb model as an external drive before, any windows settings, files or config files if anyone has a clue, please let me know. edited august 18, 2024 by bhargav v new info
I discovered a solution after some research; it wasn't what I expected but worked. I found it on the ASUS forum link you shared. Once I tried it, the lagging disappeared. The Armoury Crate AI Suite and GameFirst R remained functional. I adjusted the power settings in Device Manager, and it resolved the problem. Thanks to everyone for your assistance!
