I recently assembled a new PC and everything worked fine during the first week. But today, after turning it on, the display port isn’t being detected. I changed the port and tried other connections, but nothing worked. The machine powers on, lights are on, fans spin, yet it can’t detect the display port. I also tried using a DisplayPort to HDMI cable without success. Could you help me figure out why? I believe the VGA light should be active on my MOBO. Thanks!

On some monitors, display ports exhibit a malfunction where they shut down unexpectedly. To restore functionality, you must completely power off the monitor—disconnect all cables and remove it from any connection source. Allow it to sit idle until it initiates a proper restart. This process typically occurs during initial setup or after extended periods of inactivity.

Thank you for your message. I attempted this but didn't succeed. Are there alternative options you'd like to explore?

Have you experimented with another screen using standard HDMI? The sleep mode for the display port might help, but it could be that the problem isn’t there.

Some motherboards prefer HDMI over mirroring for their BIOS setup. In my experience with dual monitors, it often displayed only on the HDMI port rather than the DP and HDMI screens. I also faced similar problems when trying to boot pixie to install Windows. It might be related to your cable—some come damaged from the factory and stop working after a week (as noted by ASUS). If the previous BIOS update didn’t work, consider removing the display driver, deleting the video card from the device manager, and testing DP functionality. If successful, it suggests a corrupt driver; you can use DDU for removal: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/dis...nload.html. If you have a spare card, even an older one, try installing it to check if the display appears. Lastly, your monitor may be failing—restarting to factory settings could help.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. After achieving some progress, we're facing the same challenge again. Not clear on the next steps.
