Issue occurs following re-bar work on the 3080, resulting in a black screen.
I put in my driver and turned off the machine at some point. After a while I turned it back on and attempted the rebar on the EVGA Precision X1. It seems to finish updating, then restarts the PC but there’s no display and a white light comes up on the motherboard. I’ve tried other GPUs before it works fine. I swapped the 3080 to another system and it still doesn’t function. I’ve turned off CMS and still can’t find anyone who has dealt with this issue. Any advice or experiences would be appreciated.
Ensure the second BIOS is active on the card. If not, it could damage your card. You might need to adjust the PCIE Mode settings on the other motherboard because some 3000 series models have compatibility problems with Gen 3 to Gen 4 detection features. Avoid using re-bar from EVGA precision unless necessary; instead, enable it directly in the BIOS. This approach reduces the risk of issues. If you must use software, strictly follow the instructions on the website to prevent mistakes, since some cards require a BIOS flash while newer ones don’t.
