Gameplay Issues
Crash occurs immediately upon opening the PC. While I can load CS2, entering a game causes a crash. Currently, only League of Legends is playable. Other titles fail to launch beyond the initial setup. This problem appeared after a recent reformat. Before that, random video driver issues existed but overall performance remained stable. Discord also closes instantly alongside games and requires several restarts.
Tried Various Solutions
- MEMTEst – cleared CMOS
- XMP enabled/disabled
- Replaced RAM
- Fresh Windows installs (10 & 11)
- Older video drivers before issue, current drivers tested clean boot
- Stress tests (Cinebench, AIDA64, OCCT for power, 3D, VRAM) – no problems
- Disabled overlays (Discord, Steam)
- Temperatures normal
- Compatibility mode ineffective
- Reduced PCI slots by one
I’m reaching out to assist a friend who has been struggling for several days without a resolution. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I believe someone else encountered a similar problem and altered the PCI-E slot in BOIS, changing it from PCI-E 4 to PCI-E 3 in their BIOS. Try setting it to PCI-E 3 and see if stability improves. I don't own a Radeon RX 7900 XTX with 24GB RAM, so I'm just checking what others reported on the forum. If it works fine, leave it as is.
Even though your power supply gets positive feedback, this site suggests using a 1000W unit for a setup featuring an RX 7900 XTX and a 13900K, which is indeed more capable than your CPU. Would you consider another PSU to test?
