You've improved your internet connection but still experience reduced speeds on laptops compared to Android devices. The issue might be related to how your laptop handles network settings or driver compatibility. Have you checked for any recent software updates or performed additional troubleshooting steps?

The laptop is quite old. The Wifi performance you're experiencing is likely due to its age and possibly a failing adapter.

Tested on three laptops ranging from 10 to under one year old. The performance is excellent, especially with the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi from the ISP modem/router setup.

It seems you likely only need to turn off the 2.4GHz connection.

I use a dual-band Wi-Fi router linked to the ISP modem/router combo. On my phone I experience full speed, but on my laptop when connected via the ISP modem's network I see reduced performance.

It seems you're asking if slow performance on your laptop happens only when other devices are connected, suggesting bandwidth competition among devices.

I've checked with just a single connected unit.

Typical performance on a phone is stable, while using only a laptop often results in reduced speeds.

Standard performance across all phones, regardless of whether they're the sole device connected. Laptops run about one-third of their speed on both Wi-Fi bands. Verified with Windows 7 and 10
