Issue Involving Unusual CPU/GPU activity and crashes during video playback while gaming.
Details: 6600XT I7-10700f with 16GB RAM at 3200MHz, 650W power supply from Corsair, B560 model, MOBO Edge browser. When launching games without video playback everything functions normally – frame rates and stuttering are acceptable. But when video starts, CPU and GPU usage drop significantly, staying under 5% on the CPU. Temperatures stay consistent. Pausing the video causes crashes or forces a restart, and prolonged video play also leads to failures across all games tested (GTA V, God of War 2018, EU4, Lego Star Wars TSS). No other browsers have been tried. This issue appears consistent across every game I've tested. Windows 10 build 21H2 is in use, and a previous version had the same problem. No new hardware or suspicious software detected. A Windows Defender scan found no unusual processes. Anyone experienced with this problem? Any suggestions would be helpful.
