Hey there, I just moved from version 14393 to the Creators update on my main rig. The upgrade worked perfectly until I tried logging in after entering my password. It kept showing up as "Welcome" for a while before crashing. Also, I noticed a GeForce Experience window about a newer driver appearing in the bottom left once. Only a few times. I've tried a few things: 1) Open Task Manager and run explorer.exe 2) Boot from the USB drive with W10 and try Startup Repair. I also downloaded the Windows Update Assistant but it took too long, so I made a bootable USB with Media Creation and started the upgrade. After it finished, I'm not sure what to do next. I really don't want to do a clean install since I've been using this for over a year and don't want to lose anything. The specs are in my signature. Any suggestions?

They say the creator's update clears many settings in this video. (Formatting removed—few people really support him.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPFbAqICUJo&t=497s

I resolved the issue by looking into it. I removed the UXStyle package I had installed, and it resolved the problem perfectly.

The lesson here is: remove any custom additions affecting Windows core before upgrading the system.
