Issue encountered when starting or restarting a laptop on battery power – Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6
Hello everyone. I’m facing a laptop issue described in the attached screenshot. When it starts, it shows many blue error messages and frequently freezes, requiring me to restart it up to ten times. Once it boots, it functions properly only when connected to a power source. It runs smoothly during games or stress tests, but when unplugged, it shuts down quickly—sometimes seconds, sometimes minutes. Recently, it managed about 20 minutes before restarting again with errors.
I’ve tried replacing the SSD, adding different RAM, reinstalling Windows versions 10 and 11, applying thermal paste on CPU and GPU, and even removing the battery to use AC power. Nothing resolved the problem. I also used sleep mode previously, which helped for about six months, but now the laptop starts unexpectedly in my bag. I hear fans spinning, it gets hot, and the battery drains fast. It won’t wake from sleep properly either—sometimes opening the case, pressing power, fans start, but the screen stays black. Keyboard input doesn’t work; I have to force a restart.
Anyone have experience with this issue? Do you know what to do?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
You have reinstalled Windows (both 10 and 11).
Where did you obtain the installers for Windows 10 and 11? Did you upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 via the internal upgrade method or did it happen as a standalone installation? Were the operating systems installed in offline mode? Did you manually install all required drivers for your laptop?
Just a note, the screenshots you shared are quite low in resolution; zooming makes them difficult to read. Please upload higher quality images or screenshots.
Additionally, it would be helpful to check Lenovo's support site to confirm if your laptop requires any BIOS updates.
The issues began when the laptop was using the original SSD with the official Windows 11 pre-installed. All the installation files I downloaded came from the official Microsoft site. After reinstalling Windows, I made the installation media on another laptop and then swapped the SSD in this problematic device.
I needed to replace the SSD because it couldn't complete a clean installation—it would restart repeatedly during setup and displayed the error: "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer, and then restart the installation."
I'm hesitant to modify the BIOS settings since I already face problems even when reinstalling Windows, and I don't want to damage the device completely. Still, I'm unsure if the BIOS is the main cause, as it only activates during boot while the laptop shuts down when disconnected from power.
All the screenshots have been gathered into one PDF file—should be accessible now.
