Issue during startup of Windows 10
Hi, your setup seems to be working smoothly after installing a new Windows 10 copy. The issue might be related to how you installed it—specifically, if you didn’t clone your old installation or remove the previous one. Since you’re dual booting, it’s possible the system is trying to recognize both OSes differently. Double-check that your old Windows 10 is still present on the HDD and consider verifying the installation files. If the problem persists after restarting, you might want to try a clean install of Windows 10 or reinstall the operating system from a verified source.
It might be an issue with two drives that have windows. Look into the BIOS settings to see your boot choices and experiment switching between SSD and HDD.
This was the initial attempt I made, but the BIOS doesn’t detect the SSD—it only sees the HDD. Then the menu shows choices such as: CD drive USB and other similar options.
Open msconfig after booting to Win10 on your SSD. On the boot tab, check how many items appear for Win10. If there are two, remove the Win10 entry from your HDD.
Sure thing! Are you certain you want to remove your second drive, which is your HDD? Do you think it will erase everything on the disk or just clear it for a restart?
It removes it from the boot menu. Your information remains intact.
Sure, just to be clear, I won’t delete anything. If needed, I can confirm everything is safe. My files are backed up, so there’s no risk.
Det var inte helt utfikt.... Nu vad jag visar är att det är en problem, och nu är det mer klar om den: (sorry, det gäller svenska, hoppas du kan förstå)
