Hello, I've started to observe that my fan is occasionally louder than usual. It seems like it might be scraping something, but when I checked there was nothing blocking it. One day, out of frustration, I gave it a gentle hit and it stopped making noise completely—just for a short time then it began again. This behavior is strange because sometimes it runs smoothly and other times it makes sounds. I think it might be related to something inside the fan, specifically around the area marked with the letter "S" in the circle. However, I'm not very experienced with fixing fans, and I'm not entirely sure if it's really the internal part. I've attached a picture of the fan, which is a bit dusty, but I used compressed air to clean it. Sorry for any confusion—I'm not my first language, and I appreciate your help. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, especially if you've faced similar issues.
when there’s no sound from the fan, it’s likely the bearing is failing. fans tend to be inexpensive, so swapping it out should be a simple fix.
I've experienced a similar problem before. My case fans were making louder noises, and despite regular cleaning, the original fans from my GameMax case had worn out. I replaced them with a cheaper Deepcool X fan, which is now functioning perfectly and quieter than before.
