Issue arises when trying to create a bootable USB for Windows 11 using an older MacBook running High Sierra.
Browser settings: Macbook Air (mid 2011), High Sierra 10.13.6 I recently assembled a new computer and am prepared to set up Windows. I own a Windows 11 license as a student. Unfortunately, I must install it on a bootable USB drive because the previous one stopped working. I only have an older Macbook Air (High Sierra) available for this task. Up to now, I’ve faced issues because Boot Camp Assistant supports only Windows 8 and possibly 10, and Unetbootin doesn’t properly add the install.wim file, causing installation failures. My only choice is to look for another Windows PC or laptop and create a bootable USB drive from there. It’s a last resort, so I’m hoping someone can suggest alternatives. Help is needed—I might need a Windows 10 license, but it seems unnecessary. Any advice on making a bootable USB with Windows 11 on an old Mac would be appreciated.
