Hello, I made changes to the bios on my Asus motherboard recently and encountered an odd issue. At night, when I turn off the screen, the computer restarts after a short time. I turn it back on to log in and launch the programs I need, then shut it down again. This keeps happening a few times before it stops. It only occurs late in the evening, not during the day when I turn off the screen. Anyone know what might be wrong or what steps I should try? My monitor model is Samsung Neo G8 – LS32BG850NPXEN, motherboard ASUS ROG Strix B760-F, CPU Intel Core i7-13700K, RAM Kingston 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz, GPU Fury Beast AMD EXPO/Intel XMP 3.0, and I have an OC HDD and SSD setup. Power supply is Corsair RM1000e ATX 3.0, running Windows 11.
I have two ideas. First, the GPU through its driver is causing an OS kernel panic, which you can confirm by looking at the C:\Windows\Minidump files around the time it happened. The issue indicates a bluescreening error. The dump file isn't essential since the Video_TDR_Failure suggests the GPU didn't respond, prompting Windows to reset the driver. It may still be unresponsive. Consider using DDU to uninstall the existing driver before installing a new one.
