This probably isn’t the right answer, but a simple way to boost maximum FPS across those games is to check and refresh all your drivers. Occasionally the built-in sound stops working or glitches, which can lead to FPS drops. I’ll look into updating the motherboard settings next.

I've applied every Windows update available. Attempting to set a maximum FPS on my games keeps them stuck at 60 FPS without resolving the freezes. My NVIDIA graphics card also experiences crashes—screen goes dark, then restarts with an error before recovering. For reference, CS:GO consistently suffers from FPS drops, whereas League of Legends only had this issue recently. I’m not sure how to handle driver updates; my uncle assembled the system, and I’m limited to installing standard drivers like the video card.

Hey there Gileotine, I'm checking where your games are installed—whether it's an SSD or HDD. I plan to open the resource manager to see if anything is reaching full capacity during FPS drops. A stress test would help verify if your GPU or CPU are functioning correctly. Also, I'll look into the storage drive's condition. Suggest using the manufacturer's tools. For the WD Green drive, the diagnostic tool is WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=I3e3qy

All systems checked so far. No issues detected with any drives. I’ll run the resource manager test next. My games are set up on SSDs—about 15 gigabytes free, which is plenty. CS:GO and Insurgency are on the hard drive, both with ample space left. The stress test results were normal.

Review the usage to identify the issue. Examine your pagefile and hiberfil on the SSD for excessive space consumption. Consider turning off hibernation, reducing the pagefile size, or relocating it to the HDD to free up significant space. Captain_WD.

Your page file is using 16 gigabytes of space, and it’s unclear what you’re seeing in the resource monitor.

Check the game logs and resource usage closely. Look for unusual spikes or missing files. Verify that all drivers are correctly installed and compatible.
