I've encountered questions like this before, though not exactly the same. My game has been functioning well and free of lag, spending about 10 in-game days in the same area. Recently, when I tried to exit that area, my game crashed and returned an exit code 1. The only change since then was adjusting the difficulty using NBTExplorer. I'm uncertain if this could have caused corruption, as other worlds seem to work normally. I have 9GB of RAM assigned, so I don't think that's the issue.
I've tried several steps:
- Reinstalling Java
- Reinstalling Minecraft
- Updating graphics driver
- Updating CPU
- Updating Optifine
- Restarting and updating the computer
