Hey, recently switched ISP and got their router. Before that I used an Archer AC1200 and migrated everything—ports worked, settings updated with their router. Now I’m stuck on opening port 554 for a home security camera that streams via VLC over RTSP. The camera is already mapped in the router, but VLC can’t connect and says it can’t open. I ran a port test and confirmed port 554 is closed. Any tips or steps I should take?

Consider checking connectivity from a different network. NAT Loopback is often built into modern routers and blocks traffic between local devices and the WAN. Make sure your IP addresses are accurate. Online port testers usually can't confirm proper configuration unless the device behind the port replies. If the client isn't set up correctly, the router might still show the port as closed.
