It varies. For an older PC it can be a solid option. However, for a high-performance system I wouldn't suggest it. There are superior alternatives, and from my perspective, Linux Mint is the top choice.

I suggest using Fedora Media Writer. It's a straightforward tool that helps you test Linux systems on a USB drive. Keep in mind, you can't modify a system this way unless you turn on "persistence," which might be okay for minor tweaks or Wi-Fi settings, but it's not reliable. Balena Ether is an alternative, but Media Writer gets started more quickly.
