Here are my PC specifications:
GTX 1660ti MSI Ventus OC 6GB
AMD R5 2600x
16GB DDR4 RAM at 3200MHz
Windows 10 64-bit
500 Watt PSU Gladias Venomrx
SSD 240GB
1TB HDD
ASROCK B450M Steel Legend

If so, what’s the ideal application for enhancing your PC’s performance?

Is your cooling system prepared for overclocking? I'm not familiar with the PSU yet, so its performance might be uncertain. For good overclocking, a reliable PSU is essential. I don't run any applications specifically for CPU overclocking; instead, I use MSI Afterburner for my GPU. With a 2600x rating, you probably won't need any additional OC to maintain that GPU's high turbo boost.

I don't have any way of assessing PSU quality, but it's crucial for consistent OC and reliable performance.

It's much better to stick with the default settings and skip the overclocking with a 2600X. Particularly if you already have the stock Wraith Spire cooler, that PSU, and no experience with overclocking.
