I bought a TX401 from Amazon and put it into my Asus Z490 Plus board. I downloaded drivers from the TP-Link site before installing them. Once installed, I just plugged in my ethernet cable and no lights came on. The computer sees the device but doesn't recognize it as a TP-Link TX401. It shows up instead as Marvell or Aquantia. When I tried moving the card around, nothing helped. Who has any tips? I looked at the back sticker, which says 3FA-2 001. Does anyone know what that means?

Which PCI-E port did you plug in that TP-LINK card? Try a different one. Update your motherboard BIOS by using the USB pen drive and then selecting option Q-flash inside the BIOS (downloaded from ASUS). Also, update the Intel ME firmware of the chipset, just like this guide says: https://www.asus.com/us/motherboard...el...-Z490-PLUS. Try restarting your Windows computer instead of shutting it down completely. The chip inside that TP-LINK card is actually "Marvell/Aquantia AQtion AQC107". You might try using the Marvell driver here: https://www.marvell.com/content/dam/marv..._3.1.7.zip

Maybe there are no lights to show if your cable is broken. Have you tried using the special cable that came with the card?
