I am very enthusiastic about the Logitech trackballs and have had several friends try them out. One of them is my wife, who shared with me a few days ago that her MX Ergo would end up in the trash because it was acting strangely. Before discarding a fairly expensive gadget, I asked her to take a look. Based on my experience, I knew exactly what to check. Clearly, the sensors were so dirty that it was hard to see them. After a detailed cleaning, the trackball worked again, and my happy wife was thrilled. If you encounter similar problems, consider cleaning your trackball. You might need to gently remove it—avoid sharp tools and use a cotton swab instead.

Never managed to get the trackballs, I tried one for a while and they’re just slow, not precise, and they tend to build up errors like a laser mouse
